MIDWIFE VISIT
VERY interesting! I actually think I chewed off the tip of my tongue. She said she was not a parent herself but in her experience (BY OSMOSIS THROUGH HER SISTER) She gave me some full of doubt advice about letting Zoe go back to diapers once baby is here. She left me on a monitor flat on my back ( have to do this for twenty min each time due to my age) not accommodating at all! The Holy Spirit whispered in that still voice" you can speak to it"...."What's it?" I said.... out loud. Superiority?...Pride? and He said" Doubts"...
So I sat up and began praying against the doubts and when she came back in she scolded me again! The readings needed to show me laying down....I said " You've got to be kidding me!! This needs to be more accommodating! I can't put that much pressure on the baby..(.once again reigning in my anger) She gets a little nicer and says, "Oh that can be adjusted!'
Mike said she has a Staples easy button for life....the easy route out of everything!
The visit had it's upside, I realized I need to get on these things fast!
- Write a labor birth plan.
- Pray for the right person to deliver the baby.
- Pray before my next visit.
WEIGHT GAIN
2lb weight gain...total 22lbs
Awesome. We had some last minute cancellations, but still had a total of 12. Mike and I had a little fender bender on the way over. My nerves got rattled!
Mike guessed my baby tummy circumference dead on! I guess he should know...he is my best friend!
We matched Christmas Song Lyrics to the song title. ( I won)
What Old Wives Tales are true or false...and Baby Balloon Adoption.
I also bought a baby book for the guests to sign instead of the traditional guest book.
We also had a board with dates of December and everyone got to leave there initials on the day they guessed the baby would be born. December 15th won the popular vote. Time will tell!
I sent the guests off with care packages of my Homeade Butterscotchie Oatmeal cookies

We had a bit of teenage drama.....with the younger guest set. But I have learned to brush it off and deal with it after.
GOD SPEAKING TO ME THIS WEEK THROUGH....
The message Sunday ...God knows our needs He will supply.
Don't pray the same way you have always prayed but pray faith not the problem. Do not look to people to supply your needs but look to God.
To shout down the walls when I feel them come up. To apprehend and demand those things you need from the Lord.
VISITOR
We have a visitor coming this Sunday. He is my brother in law and he has come to the part of the 18 month program where he can now make 4 hour visits off campus to someones home. Since we are the only family in town, guess who is expected to hostess? And guess who's husband can not take time off from work this day? My solution? Picnic! It went well. Robert said the prayer over our meal and sounded sincere. I do hope he is changing inside! His words point towards an inward change. We are praying!
MIRACLE BOOK PROGRESS
My book that I am editing for is coming along... I am also working on securing bibles from Gideon Society for Kenya.
BIGGEST LETDOWN
Learning that my 80 year old grandfather no longer knits his custom baby blanket sweater set any more. He is letting go of a lot of things, like piano playing as well.
BIGGEST JOY
My shower.
