What Does Giving Feel Like?

TRUE GIVING....

What is it?

is it the meeting of our wants?

or is it the meeting of our needs?

Does God Himself know what giving feels like, smells like, tastes like and looks like?

If I were to put myself in His dusty sandals, these would be my thoughts...

What would He say giving sounds like?

 A JOYFUL NOISE, unsolicited, rising from the hearts of children.

 

Looks like?

Hair washing His feet with tears.

Tastes like?

Fish and bread from a sweet boys lunch and big heart.

Smells like?

The finest expensive perfumed oil, a scent that lingers and fills a room, as it is poured out from a thankful and humble heart.

Feels like?

The reverence and love with which far traveling rich men placed wonderful gifts at His 3 year old feet.

How does it feel when we, also strangers traveling from afar, deliver heart felt gifts to Compassion Children in need?

Seeing how He Himself said.."When you have done it to the least of these, you have done it unto me."

Pretty much the same way!

Children are in need of homes...look into their eyes,
and see the boy Saviour looking back!
These little ones, that he admonished us to not turn away, experience giving with all 5 senses!
And that is an experience they will always treasure in their hearts.
